Afternoon Tea at Butchart Gardens
This tour allows you to experience not only the stunning Butchart Gardens but also a relaxing afternoon tea at the Butchart Family Home.
Your tour departs from your ship for Butchart Gardens, a National Historic Site of Canada. You will travel through the beautiful Saanich Peninsula, a rural area with rolling hills. Butchart Gardens is 55 acres of floral displays and spectacular views. Make sure you bring your camera to capture the Sunken Garden, Japanese, Italian and English Rose gardens.
Enjoy tea service, a repast made popular in England in the 1840s at the family home. Enjoy warm delicacies, savory tea sandwiches and homemade sweets before returning to your ship.
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW
- Afternoon tea consists of a fresh seasonal fruit cup with yogurt citrus dressing; shrimp and hruyere quiche; homemade sausage rolls; tea sandwiches; mango curry chicken salad; smoked ham; homemade sweets; and various teas.
- Umbrellas are provided.
- Tour can accommodate guests who are confined to a wheelchair. Passengers with disabilities must contact their cruise ship's onboard Tour Office at least 48 hours in advance to ensure arrangements can be made to meet their particular needs.
