This tour starts at your ship and then heads through the City Center, passing Chinatown and Antique Row. Your tour then continues through the exclusive Uplands and Oak Bay residential areas where you can view classic Victorian architecture. Enjoy beautiful views along Marine Drive while your driver-guide provides narration along the way.
Your tour finishes at the world-famous Fairmont Empress Hotel. This is a tradition for all visitors to the capital city and is an experience you are sure to remember. You will hear music playing as you walk through the majestic lobby to the Tea Lobby, overlooking Victoria’s sparkling Inner Harbor or in the Harborside Room. Sip the famous Empress tea blend while enjoying fresh seasonal fruit, tea sandwiches including cucumber, smoked salmon and curried chicken, a traditional English raisin scone served with clotted cream, and delicate bite-sized pastries including lemon curd tarts, and Earl Grey tea shortbread among many others.
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW
- Dress code for the Tea Room is smart casual (no torn jeans, short shorts, beach wear or flip flops, jogging pants or tank tops.)
- Tour can accommodate guests who are confined to a wheelchair.
- Passengers with disabilities must contact the onboard Tour Office at least 48 hours in advance to ensure arrangements can be made to meet their particular needs.
