Klondike Scenic Highlights

Yukon Suspension Bridge Tour Brochure (1.5MB)
Spend your day exploring the best that Skagway has to offer.
Board the White Pass & Yukon Route for the railroad adventure of a lifetime! Built in 1898 during the Klondike Gold Rush, this narrow gauge railroad is an International Historic Civil Engineering Landmark, known as the “Scenic Railway of the World!”
Experience the breathtaking panorama of mountains, glaciers, gorges, waterfalls, tunnels, trestles and historic sites from the comfort of vintage parlor cars. During your fully narrated excursion you will see Bridal Veil Falls, Inspiration Point, Dead Horse Gulch and the original Klondike “Trail of ‘98”.
Your train stops in Fraser, British Columbia and connects with your motorcoach which travels the scenic Klondike Highway to the Yukon Suspension Bridge. Here, visit an outdoor museum with interpretive displays. These will inform you about the history of the area as well as explain the local plants and wildlife. Walk across the bridge suspended over the churning rapids of the Tutshi River.
Your tour then continues with a drive down the Klondike Highway to Skagway. Here, stop at Jewell Gardens, the site of pioneer Henry Clark’s family farm to enjoy a gourmet lunch of seasonal soup, salad and homemade quiche and a freshly baked dessert. The ingredients for your meal come from the garden. Also, keep an eye out for the miniature railroad that meanders through the gardens, over bridges and through a town depicting Skagway as it looked in 1898.
