Whether you’re taking photos of wildlife or testing your sportsfishing skills in the protected waters of the Inside Passage, you’re sure to have a great time.
Although you cannot take your catch with you onboard your cruise ship, you are welcome to have it processed in Ketchikan and shipped to your home for an additional charge. This is a fun tour for the whole family or for the fishing fans!
What You Should Know About
The Alaska Sportsfishing Expedition
- Minimum age to participate on this tour is 5 years old.
- Maximum weight to participate on this tour is 350 lbs.
- Tour duration includes fishing for 3.5 to 4 hours.
- Deck or rubber-soled shoes must be worn on the boat.
- Tour can accommodate guests confined to a wheelchair with prior notification. Please advise your cruise ship's onboard Tour Office at least 48 hours before the tour.
- Tackle, fishing gear, bait, rain jacket and umbrella are provided.
- Smoked salmon dip (made with cream cheese, mayonnaise, relish, lemon juice and spice), crackers, coffee, hot chocolate, tea, soda and water is provided.
- Bring a total of $30.00 cash to cover the purchase of the $20.00 fishing license onboard the fishing boat. A further $10 may be required if King Salmon is targeted.
- Children under the age of 16 are not required to purchase a license or stamp.
- Passengers can have their fish processed (smoked, flash frozen, etc.) at an additional charge.
- Taxidermy services are also available.
