Totems & Lumberjack Combo, Totem Tour, Lumberjack Show, Ketchikan Tours, Ketchikan Shore Excursions, Alaska Tours, Alaska Shore Excursions

Enjoy both the Totem Traditions tour and the Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show all in one tour!

This tour allows you to see most of Ketchikan including the amazing Totem Bight State Park. Your motor coach will meet you at your ship and then you’ll head out for a 25 mile drive in and around Ketchikan. Your driver will narrate as you head past Alaska’s busiest waterfront. See floatplanes and boats and drive by the infamous Creek Street, Ketchikan’s former red-light district. Enjoy a scenic drive along North Tongass Highway passing canneries and a pulp mill.

Your guide will then take you to Totem Bight State Park. Here enjoy a walk along a winding trail through a forest of hemlock before arriving at an old Indian campsite filled with colorful totem poles. Each totem pole tells a story and your guide will interpret a few of them. Learn about Native Alaskan culture at the park’s Ceremonial House. Enjoy a snack of a cookie at the Alaska Totem Trading Company before heading to the Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show.

The lumberjack Show is fun for the whole family. Watch Alaska’s frontier lumberjacks battle British Columbia’s premier woodsmen in a no-holds-barred competition for the title of Bull of the Woods. Ketchikan, which has a rich logging history, is home to this fun event. World champion athletes are featured in springboard chopping, buck sawing, axe throwing, log rolling a tree climb ending in a 50 foot free fall. Your host will keep the crowds happy with stories of lumberjack lore.
