Four Glacier Adventure by Helicopter
Listen to music as you fly over four of Juneau’s finest glaciers. After a drive to Douglas Island where the base is located, get geared up for an amazing experience.
Enjoy the majesty of Juneau’s Icefield from a different vantage point. Your pilot flies over four different types of glaciers accessible only by boat or aircraft. Bring a camera to take pictures of the Hole-in-the-Wall Glacier, the advancing Taku Glacier, the retreating Norris Glacier and the unique floating Dead Branch Glacier or river-like East Twin Glacier.
Depending on conditions, touch down on either the Norris or Taku glacier and let your guide teach you about the landscape. Whether its peering into a crevasse or watching a glacier stream in the icy surface, this is sure to be an experience you won’t forget. Your tour also includes a flight along the Gastineau Channel to see ruins of the gold mines that made Juneau famous.
