Mount Roberts Tramway
The Mount Roberts Tramway can be used at anytime during your day. Take an eight minute ride up 1,800 feet to the top of Mount Roberts where scenic views await you. Bring your camera for great views of the Chilkat Mountains, Stephens Passage, Douglas Island and downtown Juneau.
Walk around the lodge, enjoy a bit to eat at their restaurant, get a cup of coffee at the coffee station and purchase gifts for relatives at the gift shop. Enjoy the Tlingit culture film "Seeing Daylight" that airs every half hour. Walk outside and visit the nature center and the raptor center.
If you have time, take a fifteen minute walk up to the cross on top of the mountain. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and keep a look out for bears!
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW
- Tram ticket allows unlimited riding of the tram all day.
- Ticket also allows entry into the film.
- Tram cars depart approximately every 10 minutes.
- Hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. generally and may vary on weekends and late-September.
- Guests make their own way to the tram, which is a short walk from the pier.
- No charge for children five years of age and younger.
