Klondike Summit, Yukon Suspension Bridge & Gold Secrets

Klondike Gold Fields Tour Brochure (0.8MB)
Enjoy an adventurous day traveling the Klondike Highway, walking across the Yukon Suspension Bridge, and trying your hand at gold panning!
Your journey begins with touring Skagway's historic downtown area filled with wooden boardwalks and false fronted buildings as your driver/guide shares stories about the famous and foolhardy who lived in Skagway during the gold rush. Travel by motorcoach 3,290 feet above sea level to the White Pass Summit, which runs parallel to the White Pass and Yukon Route Railroad, while your driver/guide recalls the hardships and daily life struggles of the stampeders. While following in the footsteps of early gold seekers, view the historical areas of Brackett Wagon Road, Pitch Fork Falls, Dead Horse Gulch and the infamous Tormented Valley.
Next, enjoy a stop at the Yukon Suspension Bridge located at the Tutshi Canyon. Here you can view interpretive displays detailing the history of the area and then cross the suspension bridge located 57 feet above rushing rapids!
On your return trip back into Skagway visit the Klondike Gold Dredge where you will meet a cast of costumed characters for a chance to find your fortune! Learn the art of gold panning and practice your technique in warm-water troughs. Gold is guaranteed in every pan! Haul your treasure into The Gold Shack, have it weighed and, if you choose, transferred into a souvenir bezel at additional cost. Your tour ends in Skagway where your driver/guide can drop you in town or take you back to the pier.
