Hemingway House & Key West Walking Tour
This is a fully narrated walking tour that covers approximately 1 ½ miles. Your tour begins at the pier on a journey of discovery through historic Old Town.
- Learn all about the storied past of Key West such as the Truman Little White House, Bahama Village, Queen Julia, The Straw Market, original cemetery, Key West Lighthouse, naval history, pirates, wrecking, sponging, cigar and shrimp industries, and much more.
Enjoy an interior guided tour of Ernest Hemingway’s home and have an opportunity to see the famous Hemingway Cats. View areas of the house such as the courtyard, Ernest Hemingway's study, kitchen, and bedroom.
After your tour of the house, enjoy more historical stories from your guide during your walk back to the pier.
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW
- Guests should be able to walk 1 ½ miles on level ground at a normal pace.
- The second floor of the Hemingway House is not wheelchair accessible; wheelchair guests are provided a video to watch pertaining to the second floor tour.
- Be prepared with comfortable walking shoes, a hat, water, and sunscreen.
