Discover Scuba Diving Course

Learn to dive in one day and discover the beauty of Aruba's underwater world under the guidance of one of our professional instructors. The course includes a one hour pool session and a 1-tank boat dive. All scuba equipment and instructions are included.

The pool session teaches the student the basic rules for scuba diving, such as dealing with pressure, breathing thru a regulator and how to use the equipment. The dive boat goes to a shallow wreck, the ‘'Pedernalis''. The Pedernalis is an oil tanker torpedoed by a German submarine during the Second World War. The wreck's several large pieces are spread out between coral formations; making visible the complete wreck cabins, wash basins, lavatories, etc., as well as the tankers pipeline system. The area around the Pedernalis wreck is known for its many types of groupers and its bounty of angel fish. The Pedernalis dive has a maximum depth of approximately 25 feet and an instructor will accompany the student at all times underwater.

The dive is approximately 40 minutes long. A confidential medical and liability form must be filled out prior to enrollment in the Discover Scuba Diving Course.
