This tour is also kown as the Alaska Wildlife Experience.
This tour provides you with the unique opportunity of visiting a wildlife center in the heart of the famous Chiklat Bald Eagle Preserve.
Board a fast ferry and travel approximately 45 minutes, along the Lynn Fjord, to the town of Haines. During your journey, enjoy commentary from your guide whom will point out numerous sights such as wildlife, waterfalls and mountain peaks.
Once you have arrived in Haines, you will be driven along the route of the Chilkat River into the preserve. Your guide will inform you of the area's history during your journey.
Your destination is Korschel Films Wildlife Park Center, named after Steve Kroschel, who has a lifetime of experience working with wild animals for movies such as "Never Cry Wolf" and the PBS "Wild America" series.
The wildlife park center provides a home for many orphaned animals including wolves, Arctic fox, lynx, porcupines, pine marten, mink, reindeer, wolverines, two moose and a year old Kodiak Bear. The center has many interactive displays which are fun for kids and adults which include hands-on activities.
Your tour then concludes with the scenic drive back to Haines.
