Taku Glacier Lodge Flight & Feast
Enjoy the beautiful scenery of Southeast Alaska while flying in a float plane to Taku Glacier Lodge.
After a quick drive to the float plane dock, you will be given a life jacket and quick safety briefing. Then, climb onboard a nostalgic floatplane and fly over breathtaking glaciers to the wilderness lodge. During the narrated flight, enjoy your window seat-view (everyone has one) of lush forests, waterfalls, snow-capped mountains and glaciers.
The Taku River is your runway as you land at Taku Glacier Lodge. This lodge, built in 1923, sits directly across from Hole-in-the-Wall Glacier. Enjoy an all-you-can-eat feast of wild Alaska salmon, homemade side dishes and glacial ice to cool your drinks. You will be entertained with Alaskan stories and make sure to bring a camera to take pictures of the local bear licking off the grill. After the meal, explore the forest trails on a guided walk or on your own. This excursion has child rates so bring the whole family!

- This trip to Alaska is a first in many ways for me. My first trip in an airplane of any size and I am 85. Now I can add floatplanes, glaciers, bears and good people to my list of experiences!
